DRAFT, NOT YET REVIEWED. Replace anything marked PLACEHOLDER and have this checked before launch.
Who we are
PLACEHOLDER. Add your registered company name, company number, registered address and contact email. This is a legal requirement for a UK business selling online, not a nicety.
Orders and pricing
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. PLACEHOLDER: confirm your VAT position and registration number if registered. We may correct obvious pricing errors before dispatch and will contact you if that happens.
The memory page
Each plaque comes with a private memory page. You pay once at the point of purchase and there is no subscription or renewal fee. You keep ownership of everything you upload. You can download a complete archive at any time in ordinary file formats.
You are responsible for what you upload, and confirm you have the right to upload it. We may remove content that is unlawful. PLACEHOLDER: set out how a page is transferred or closed if the account holder dies, because for this product that will happen.
What is included, and storage limits
Each memory page includes room for 1,000 photographs, 30 minutes of video and 30 minutes of audio. Reaching the allowance does not delete anything already uploaded and does not take the page offline. Additional space can be purchased at any time as a one-off payment, with no recurring fee.
PLACEHOLDER: add the price of additional space, and state how a customer is told when they are close to the allowance. Because this is a limit on what people can put on a memorial page, it must be stated clearly before purchase, not discovered afterwards.
Accounts
You create an account to build and manage a page. Visitors do not need an account to view one. Keep your login details safe.
Hosting commitment
PLACEHOLDER, and it needs care. The site states that a portion of each sale goes into a separate reserve held for storage and hosting of pages already sold. Describe honestly how that reserve actually works, and what happens to pages if the business closes. Do not promise a period you cannot evidence.
Fitting to a memorial
You are responsible for obtaining permission from whoever looks after the site before attaching anything to a memorial. See our refunds and returns page if permission is refused.
Liability
PLACEHOLDER. This section needs proper legal input rather than wording from me.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. PLACEHOLDER: confirm this matches where the business is registered.
